Needles Not for the Faint of Heart
Needles Not for the Faint of Heart
These aren’t your grandma’s needles. They’re ultra fine, with a straw-needle profile; the eye isn’t wider than the shaft. They are 2” long, and smooth. Slick. Polished. They are very, very slender, with just enough flex—the thread in the photo is 50wt! The points are exceptionally sharp. They’re a joy to sew with. Needles this fine wear more quickly than the Big Brands, but frankly, the precision and comfort they offer is worth it. EPP artists will love these. Quilters might go back to thread-basting. Garment sewers will feel the need to ruche and shirr and pick-stitch. But be warned, intrepid needlers. Hand-sewing can be habit-forming. Threading tip: moisten the eye of the needle, not the freshly cut end of the thread. Sold in packages of 25. That’s enough to share a few. But you won’t want to.
