Expedition Duffel is an easy bag to sew. It's big enough to carry a long-weekend's worth of clothes and sundries for a get away, and light enough to pack in regular luggage to use as a second bag to bring home treasures and souvenirs from a vacation. It's designed to comply with most airline carrier carry-on regulations, but always check with your carrier before you travel.
Expedition is a great way to feature fabrics with extra-large motifs. If you prefer a more structured bag you can interline it with fusible foam, but it's sturdy and functional with fusible fleece interlining.
Finished duffel is 17” wide at base, 25” wide across the top, 10” deep and 15” high at the end of the handle. When packed, the top of the bag spreads flat to give Expedition a boxy shape that's perfect for travel.
