Springing Forward!

It's been such a busy few weeks. We had a wonderful weekend in Danbury, Connecticut at the Northern Star Quilt Guild's 39th annual show, and we're already planning to return next year. The guild members are welcoming and oh-so-talented! In a couple of weeks, we'll be at the Dulles Expo for the Quilters Unlimited Show in Chantilly, Virginia, to see old friends and make new ones. The QU show is dear to our hearts, and setting up shop there feels like coming home. Come be June 1, 2 or 3 to see our new patterns, bags, hardware and gifts!

I have just started working with a new material that's not available yet in the US. It's a washable metallic fiber/paper hybrid that, when properly distressed, looks and feels like leather. It's easy to work with, and I will have samples of a few projects at the QU show, and a few kits for purchase. If you don't see the, ask! This photo really doesn't do it justice.

After, QU, we'll take a quick breath and get ready for some summer guild events, and then a big family get-together for the Fourth. With such a short spring (can't believe it was snowing a week ago!) it feels like summer has already started!
