Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love spending it with my family, and we've managed to turn the day of feasting into a long weekend of festivities. Wednesday night we do as much prep cooking as we can, Thursday we do the traditional turkey dinner, and Friday is dedicated to "Family Fun Day." This often involves a day trip to a local attraction, or a relaxing day of board and card games, fueled by another feast. There's plenty of time to visit with everyone. And we need that extra time: this year we expect 30 people at the family groaning board.
